Our projects cover all areas of the energy sector and they range in size from a few 100 manhours of specialist advice to over 10,000 manhours of input to develop complete design packages. We work at all stages of a project; from site selection through concept development, FEED and EPC phases of a project.

Design Engineering as part of Design/Build team with BOMAC Contractors for Freeport LNG’s unloading Berth. The new facilities include an unloading platform,
concrete approachway with containment, mooring and breasting dolphins, interconnecting dolphin walkways, a gangway platform and articulated gangway tower.

- Worked with the EPC marine contractor to develop the design of the jetty for condensate and solid
sulphur export, the ship mooring arrangements, the dredging requirements and the location

- Undertook Conceptual Design and FEED to develop
the marine import and export facilities for the planned development of a major integrated
refi ning and petrochemical complex at the Red Sea town of Rabigh. Design studies include
developing an integrated shipping and storage logistics model, development of the design basis
of the marine facilities, developing conceptual layouts for various marine facilities development
scenarios, and conceptual design of the cooling water system (preFEED).

pluto lng
- Provided specialist support to Woodside during
the detailed assessment of the stability of the export pipeline. This involved developing
numerical and physical models of the piggy back pipeline configuration as it crossed the shelf, to
understand how the pipeline would behave and how its stability could be best improved.
wheatstone downstream project
FEED phase project involving a similar “hub”
concept as the Browse Development. Our role included
- review of pre-FEED concept
and cost estimate;
- concept selection;
- marine studies to develop the understanding of the
site conditions (geology, metocean, sediment transport,);
- development of dredging and
disposal plans;
- design definition to produce the Basis of Design for the Product Loading
Facilities, Material Offloading Facilities, Tug Harbour and Site Protection;
- basic engineering
to prepare reference designs;
- development of EPC bid packages (scope and specifi cations); and
- development of an EPC execution plan, schedule and cost estimate.
The timing of the Wheatstone and Browse projects means that the team that
worked on Wheatstone project will be available for the Browse project.

- Providing advice and project management to the Owner covering all aspects of the shipping,
navigation, mooring and loading; development of site characterization dataset, preparation of a
design requirements specification, identification of berth location and layout; design of dredged areas
and disposal sites, and planning of LNG shipping operations (pre-FEED and FEED).
ichthys lng, australia
- Studies to support site selection (marine terminal
and separate offshore supply base), development of conceptual design for the marine facilities,
and evaluation of shipping logistics and storage requirements (pre FEED). Following switch of plant
site from Kimberly region (WA) to Darwin (NT), developed dredging and disposal plan (FEED).

- Assessed design issues and risks associated with
a pipeline from upstream to the proposed LNG plant, and examined the navigation risks for the
marine facility (preFEED).
- Also worked on the scour protection design for the upstream platforms and
well head installation (FEED).
